Why not use my companies EAP/PMI?

Most employee assistance programmes and private medical insurance are designed for short‑term support, typically around 6–12 sessions with a therapist allocated from their directory.

This support can be a helpful starting point, but many clients find it isn’t enough on its own: it’s not tailored to burnout‑related issues and often stays at a surface level, offering general counselling or CBT rather than deeper, sustained work on the patterns driving their burnout.

What is chronic stress?

Chronic stress happens when your body’s stress response stays switched on for too long. It’s not one bad week or a tough project, it’s the constant hum of tension, overthinking, and emotional fatigue that never fully releases.

Clinically, it’s linked to dysregulation in the nervous system and consistently elevated cortisol. Our goal is to down regulate your stress response so it starts to see safety and challenge instead of threat and danger.

What is high-functioning anxiety?
